Course Description: College Algebra students will review and develop mathematical skills in preparation for future mathematics courses or college. Course Objectives: The course includes the review and study of linear, radical, rational and polynomial functions and their graphs as well as exponential functions, compound interest, logarithms, sequences, and series. Zeros of polynomials,critical points, domain and range, inverse functions, and conic sections are also explored. Topics in the area of Trigonometry such as trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric functions, trig graphs, and vectors will be presented. Make-Up Work: You have two calendar school days to complete work for every EXCUSED absence. If you missed a test or quiz, you are responsible for going to the testingg center to take the test or quiz. All tests and quizzes will be made up on your own time. Tests and quizzes must be made up within a calendar week or they will be recorded as zeroes in the grade book. Until the test is made up, it will be recorded as a zero in the grade book. Student Evaluation: Grades will be assigned on the basis of a percentage of total points earned. Points will be earned via QUIZZES and TESTS. Grades will be assigned as follows: * Quizzes/Tests (80%) * Final Exam (20%)
